Stories that entertain. Ideas that build. Culture that belongs to us.
An original body of work spanning theatre, film, television, literature and cultural history alongside a new collaborative model designed to connect Latino creators, cultural power, audience and opportunity.
Latino writers are writing. Actors are performing. Directors are directing. Playwrights are filling small theatres. Filmmakers are creating independent work.
The problem isn’t an absence of talent or power. The problem is that too much of it remains disconnected.

MEET FRANK “PAPO” ROJAS
CREATOR · ACTOR · DIRECTOR · PRODUCER · WRITER
Frank Papo Rojas is the creative force behind an expanding body of work shaped by storytelling, performance, culture, human experience and a growing vision of Calle Veintiuno.
His work moves beyond individual stories to explore the ideas, relationships and questions that shape how people live, connect, heal, belong and serve one another.
The Book of Calle Veintiuno identifies Frank Papo Rojas as its writer and presents Calle Veintiuno through a central question: what would a civilization built upon love look like?
In the extraordinary community of Calle Veintiuno, a young man born with supernatural abilities must accept that his power was never given to him for himself. It was given to protect those without power.
A community once exploited and discarded transforms itself into a self-sustaining economic and cultural force challenging the systems surrounding it and creating a radically different vision of collective power.
Frank “Papo” Rojas is a writer, director, producer, actor, educator, counselor and cultural historian whose creative perspective was forged in the South Bronx.
His life has moved through theatre, film, education, social-emotional development and the underground dance culture created by young New Yorkers more than half a century ago.

BEFORE HIP-HOP, HOUSE & DISCO
]
Culture has
a memory.
Long before today’s global street-dance industry, young Puerto Ricans and other New Yorkers were creating something extraordinary inside the city’s underground youth culture.
As a first-generation Rock dancer, Frank Rojas preserves and tells part of an overlooked cultural history the music, movement, style, competition, community and social spaces that helped establish foundations upon which later street-dance cultures would grow.
This history is not nostalgia. It is cultural inheritance.
